Don't forget to love
It's a more or less the same vibe as 'Lonely Heart'
but i wrote DFTL back in 2011 and LH in 2024
it's maybe one of the soundtrack songs of my adolescence
The story... goes like this
a girl gave me this card (see picture) in school
a card with a notepad with the words 'don't forget to love'
and i thought it was cute and my brain immediately went:
wow this would be a good slogan for a song or to put on a t-shirt or whatever
So i later wrote a song around the words "don't forget to love''
the first version of the lyrics were a love song, but then i changed it to be a sad love song
as that was leaning more to what i was feeling at the time...
the moment felt like a movie scene and i really
succeeded in capturing the vibe in the song...
The song was so powerful that I never stopped playing it
after writing it, and is till this day it remains one of the most popular ones
